I completely forgot about these pictures I took, over 6 months ago, of some purchases I made while shopping in Long Beach. I only found recently found them whilst uploading pictures from the Three Apples: Hello Kitty Gothic Party at Royal/T.

so glad I nabbed these yellow python print lace up boots! I've gotten great use out of them!

About a year and a half ago, while driving through Melrose in Los Angeles, I caught a glimpse of a small shop window that would release some raging curiosity in me that would only start to subside last weekend. The display in this window, with it's antique dolls and mannequin parts hanging from large hooks, literally caused me to squeal with delight. One look at the name of the boutique, and I knew I had to go in. This shop was Necromance.

Unfortunately it was close to 2 AM, and the store was obviously closed. I had been on the website, but hadn't been to physically go to the store until last Friday, while on a impromptu shopping excursion with my roommate.

Honestly, all I can say was that upon entering, I immediately fell in love. The first thing I noticed, was the huge stuffed peacock the owner, Nancy, had mounted on the wall above her counter. Secondly, her beautiful grayhounds, Darwin and Donner. And then there were the collections of skull figures, books, old medical devices and pharmaceutical bottles.

I browsed through some amazing fang rings, and skull beads. And ended up with two postcards and a bone ring for my thumb.

Nancy was kind enough to let me take pictures of her two stores on Melrose. One is dedicated to human biological artifacts, and the second is dedicated to animals.

Nancy, and the kind shop girl at the taxidermy store were extremely sweet. If you're into the creepy stuff like I am, I highly suggest visiting Nancy and her doggies at her shop in Los Angeles.

Also.. managed to scarf this baby down. Bratwurst sandwhich from Clementine Bakery. Yum!

Say Hello to My Little Friend...

Bought this little guy after stalking him for a very very very long time. I have a feeling he'll be quite abused.

A night in, after two nights of going out, is a relief. Happy to be home with my pet, a cold glass of water and best of all, some piece and quiet.

Retail Therapy

This week has been super hectic. I really have not had any time to myself, so I've used this excuse for some irresponsible retail therapy.

As soon as I got back from Dallas, my first instinct was to go to shopping in Laguna, but upon dropping off my luggage, I decided Ieaving the apartment wasn't a great idea. Therefore, I opted for the anastasiausa.net sale. Too bad everything I wanted was either out of my budget, or completely unjustifiable. But thought I'd share some of pieces I was looking at anyhow.

Go figure, after returning from a hot and humid Dallas, I still end up looking at jackets and sweaters...

Anyway I ended up finding this Junya Watanabe piece on ebay and it's officially mine! I was so excited to find this piece, as I've been wanting the pull-over version since it first came out.. Also it was a steal, and apparently worn once by Cher. How's that for a cherry on top? Hope it was dry cleaned first =X

Feed My Eyes, Can You Sew Them Shut?

Been feeling a little bit moody lately and listening to Man in the Box over and over and over again lately.. Layne was such an amazing singer


Anyways......

For the past year or so, I've been completely obsessed with getting my hands on a plain black maxi dress (non-empire, non-halter) or plain black long skirt . It also seems like everyone else is on the same page, because everytime I found one, they'd always be sold out or out of my size.

A couple weeks ago, I finally found it: A gorgeous Y-3 by Yohji Yamamoto maxi dress with horizontal stripes of varying degress of sheerness.

Originally wanted to wear my platform boots (from my early college days) but I was anticipating a day of possibly carrying boxes around the office, so decided to stick with the flat motorcycle boots.

I tried taking pictures of the actual outfit I wore, but the details wouldn't show up, so it's just the dress and boots.

Lately, I've been finding men's editorials much more engaging than the women's.

Okay, lastly. I bought this Junya Watanabe top several weeks ago. Probably wasn't the smartest purchase, but I can't bare the thought of parting with it. *Sigh* Perhaps it would be smarter to return it......
