This large plastic bin full of leather has been silently mocking me from across my room for the last 6 months...

One Day...

I will hopefully be cruising one of these babies down Pacific Coast Highway, top down, wind blowing in my hair- making it stick to my lip gloss- all the while deafening all those near me with my version of Iron Maiden's The Trooper. Elegant image eh?

Thanks Dad for passing down the love of the road, and forcing me to learn how to drive on a stick shift.

Ouch..

Stainless Steel heels by 6 Inch Heels Forever .. Soo sick. I love the look of a severe arch. My feet on the other hand...

I also wouldn't mind owning a pair of these. They're just so trampy, I can't help but love them.

She's A Killer Queen

So, I don't know how you all feel about drag queens, but I love em.

For the past couple of weeks, I've become wildly obsessed with RuPaul's Drag Race on the LOGO network. In case you haven't heard of it, it's RuPaul's televised search for the next big female impersonator.

There was an episode where the remaining queens got to makeover some not-so-feminine females as their own personal mini-me's. I was seriously jealous. I want a drag make-over so badly it hurts.

Annyyyyways. Of course the 2 contestants I end up rooting for don't do full on drag. They're more like gender fucks. Tonight, I think I'm going to focus on one in particular. Nina Flowers. S(he) is simply amazing.

My Favored Ones: Ongina and Miss Nina Flowers

Nina Flowers makes me want to shave my head and wear wigs.

This video basically shows all the contestants doing their thing on the catwalk. so fabulous.

Lace

Here are some more scans from an old issue of So-En magazine. This is pretty girly for my tastes, but I'm somehow drawn to it.

I actually love the vintage lace dress. It's probably more antique than vintage at this point. Anywho, I love that it has a patchwork quality to it while staying completely monochromatic. I really wish I could get my hands on a dress such as this one. It would be fun to play with different looks. I'd probably go for a Comme De Garcons bride meets Junya Watanabe's biker look.

On another note, I think it would be interesting to learn how to make REAL lace. The art of lace making seems to be dying out as generations pass on. Aw who the fuck am I kidding, I barely work on my sewing machine. I swear I have so many DIY projects that are half finished. Everything is pinned in place ready to sew on, but I somehow just pick up a new project instead. I suppose this a whole other entry unto itself.
